Seller's Guide
Sell your Portland home smart
Your home is one of your biggest assets. The right preparation, marketing, and negotiation strategy is the difference between a good outcome and a great one.
The Process
The selling process, step by step
You'll never wonder what's next. Here's exactly how we get your home sold.
Valuation & strategy
I'll provide a detailed market analysis to price your home competitively. We'll discuss your goals, timeline, and build a customized plan.
Pre-listing prep
First impressions drive final outcomes. I'll help create a plan for what items are worth fixing and what to skip for highest return on investment.
Learn about pre-listing prep →Professional marketing
Your home deserves more than iPhone photos and a Zillow listing. Professional photography, video, drone, and a full exposure strategy.
See our marketing strategy →Showings & offers
I handle all showings, collect feedback, and keep you informed. When offers come in, we evaluate them together: price, terms, contingencies, and buyer strength all matter.
Negotiate & close
I protect your bottom line through every negotiation and coordinate with escrow to ensure a smooth, on-time close.
Pre-Listing Prep
Preparation upfront drives your final outcome
Most sellers either over-improve or under-prepare. I help you spend smart, focusing only on what moves the needle for buyers in today's market.
Repairs vs. upgrades
Not every fix is worth making, and not every upgrade pays off. I'll walk through your home with a buyer's eye and suggest what needs attention and what doesn't.

Staging Guide
Staging isn't about decorating. It's about psychology
Buyers make emotional decisions. Staging removes the mental work of imagining a life in the home and replaces it with the feeling of already being there.
Vacant homes
An empty home feels smaller, colder, and harder to emotionally connect with. Strategic furniture placement, lighting, and a few key pieces can transform the feeling of a space completely. I work with trusted staging partners who know what Portland buyers respond to.
- •Strategic furniture arrangement
- •Proper lighting creates warmth
- •Decor that feels upscale, not cluttered

Occupied homes
If you're still living in the home, we work with what you have, but intentionally. That means editing, not emptying. Decluttering specific rooms, neutralizing personal touches, and creating a clear visual flow from room to room. The goal is "anyone could live here" without feeling sterile.
- •Strategic decluttering and organizing
- •Neutralize personal collections and photos
- •Improve flow and maximize open space
Staging isn't just decorating. It's a marketing tool. Professionally staged homes in this market consistently sell faster and closer to list price.
Marketing Strategy
Your home deserves more than a Zillow listing
Here's exactly what goes into marketing a home the right way and why each piece matters.
Professional photography
The listing photo is your first showing. You have 8 seconds on average to make an impression on a Buyer as they are looking online. Professional photography isn't optional. It's the single highest-impact investment we make before going live.
Video
Two types: a walkthrough that helps buyers understand the flow of the home, and a lifestyle video that sells the feeling of living there. Both serve different buyers at different stages of their decision.
Drone
Aerial footage shows context: the lot, the neighborhood, the proximity to green space or amenities that ground-level photos cannot capture. Especially valuable for larger lots, corner lots, or homes with views.
Email & agent network
Timing matters. As soon as your home launches, I personally reach out to my network of active buyer's agents so the right people know about it immediately.

Seller Reviews
What My Sellers Say
Jordyn Jones is a superb realtor in every regard, I recommend her highly. She is smart, astute, experienced, hardworking, personable, and completely focused on her client's needs. She guided me on preparing an elderly relative's Portland home for sale that was in the desirable Laurelhurst neighborhood, but which looked old and dingy.
She connected me with multiple contractor resources (landscaper, house cleanout company, painter, staging, etc.) to transform the home into a sparkling gem ready for sale. She also kept an eye on the property which was vacant ensuring the house was secure. She demonstrated strong marketing skills arranging for professional photography and a home tour video among other steps.

We have used Jordyn's services on three separate occasions now. First was back in 2020, she helped us find our perfect first home! Then in late February 2023, we contacted Jordyn about the possibility of selling our home and upgrading to purchase a new construction in our dream neighborhood.
She was so prompt, and within the next day of us mentioning it she already scheduled tours for us to go to. Jordyn was there every step of the way, made the selling of our first home process super easy and smooth. All questions we had no matter what time of day it was, she responded with great info.

Some professional relationships start with a referral. Mine started with years of paying attention.
When the time came, her data presentation — including a clear inventory and pricing gap — helped me accept current market conditions without having to dig in myself. She answered questions I had and some I had not thought to ask.

Jordyn really is an incredible real estate agent. She saw us through both the purchase, and now the sale of our home and we could not be happier with her dedication to making sure we are taken care of.
Not only did she help us through transactions, but she was there checking in with us and providing recommendations when we decided to make some pretty major upgrades to our home. She really is a people person and because of that she has a connection with someone that can do just about any project you can think of at reasonable rates with excellent quality work.
